    Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Who makes Fire Dragon products?

A: EFK Fire Dragon does. We are an Arizona based company specializing in the Fire Dragon line. This is all we make, barrels, compensators, and recoil reduction spring systems. We are an industry leader in the field of accurate national match barrels and pistol accessories. All Fire Dragon products are made in the USA and come with a lifetime warranty.

Q: What kind of quality can I expect from Fire Dragon?

A: The best. Every product we offer is made from 416 heat treated stainless steel. This material is hardened to a 40-43 Rockwell hardness in a vacuum furnace for a lifetime of service and durabilty. Fire Dragon also polishes their barrels to a 16 RMS finish. Tolerances are held to the highest possible levels on CNC machines.

    Q: What is ECM rifling?

A: Electro Chemical Machine. This is a state-of-the-art rifling technology used on all the finest barrels, rifles and pistols alike. The rifling is actually created using laser rifling, which is accurate to within +/- 50 millionths of an inch. The result is an incredibly smooth and consistent lands and grooves finish. These barrels are more accurate then their counterparts, such as button or broach cut rifling.

Q: What will a dual action recoil reduction spring do for me? How does it work?

A: Our exlusive dual action spring systems work by progressively slowing down the slide before it impacts the frame. The main recoil spring sits on a hollow stainless steel guide rod. Inside this guide rod, is a secondary spring. When the gun is fired, the slide begins to travel backwards, compressing the main spring. Once the empty shell is ejected, the secondary spring system compresses, aiding in slowing down the slide. All this happens very fast, but you can manually work the slide with one of our spring systems installed and feel the difference. The result is lower recoil up to 40%. Less slide impact against the frame means less muzzle jump, follow up shots are more accurate, with less wear and tear on the frame. Using one of these springs systems can keep your pistol just like new, without the usual wear and tear associated with most spring systems.

Q: Why don't manufactures use a dual spring system if they are so great?

A: Actually one notable manufacture does. H&K installs a dual spring system in their line of pistols. They are at this time, an industry leader using this system. This is why we don't make an H&K replacement spring system. The rest, well, what can we say? Glock includes a plastic guide rod on an otherwise excellent gun. Others use a steel guide rod with a standard recoil spring. Although these factory springs work as expected, they do nothing to lower recoil or prevent the damaging effects of heavy slide impacts.

Q: Can I use a dual action spring with my factory barrel?

A: Absolutely. The dual action spring systems we manufacture drop right in as a replacement to your factory spring. You don't have to replace the barrel, they are a direct factory spring replacement.

Q: Will the Glock 22 Dual Action Buffer work in the Glock 35, and 31?

    A: Yes. The Glock 22 Buffer will work with the Glock 31, 34, 35 & 17 L.

Q: Will the Browning Hi Power Barrel work in most clones?

A: Yes, even the FEG, Argentine and clones. The Dual Action Buffer will also work in all clones.

Q: Will the Glock 19 Barrel work in the Glock 26?

    A: Yes

Q: Will the Glock 23 Barrel work in the Glock 27?

Q: Can you change Barrels with the 9mm, 40 S&W, Beretta and Taurus gun?

A: Yes, you can change 40 S&W barrel with the 9mm Beretta or Taurus gun.

Q: Will the 1911 Dual Action Buffer work in custom guns?

A: Yes. The Clark, Welson, Kimber, Charles Daly, Springfield Trophy, Enterprise Arms, and Caspian, Infinity with a reverse plug when needed. It will still work with 40 S&W, 357 Sig ammo too.

Q: Will the Glock 20 barrel work in the Glock 21?

    A: Yes. Use a Glock 20 magazine.

Q: Will the Glock 35 barrel interchange with the Glock 22?

    A: Yes

Q: Why do Fire Dragon conversion barrels work in Glocks?

A: We make the barrels to fit the slide. Example: Glock 23, 40 S&W, 357 Sig and 9 mm. are the same barrels, we chamber for each Caliber to fit the slide.

Q: Can you use the same magazine?

A: Yes, the best of all-round magazine is the 40S&W. If necessary for 9mm conversions, use a 9mm magazine.

Q: Does the Glock 30 Spring System works on the Glock 36?

    A: Yes, they are interchangeable.
